About Me

Pastor (Dr) Jonathan Seet asked for early retirement after 32 years of pastoring in the Methodist Church in Singapore (Trinity Annual Conference) at the end of 2023. He has served  in many capacities including District Superintendent (total of 9 years in 2 different seasons). He was also chaired the Board of Archives & History and also was Chair of the Board of Missions for 4 years in each of the named capacity. He sat in the two key governing bodies in MCS – the TRAC Executive Board and the General Conference Executive Council for more than 20 years each. He also served as a member of the Board of Management in the Methodist Missions Society (7 years) as well as in the Board of Management of the Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ Schools (9 years).
 
Ps Jon first served as Assistant Pastor of Fairfield Methodist Church and then became a pastor of Paya Lebar Methodist Church. He then went to the US for studies. Upon his return home from studies, he was appointed as the Pastor-in-Charge of Pentecost Methodist Church for 7 ½ years and then in Paya Lebar Methodist Church for 9 ½ years. He was reappointed to PMC since 2019 till his retirement at the end of 2023. He looks forward to a new season that God is leading him into.
 
Pastor Jon graduated with theological degrees from Trinity Theological College (Singapore), then Princeton Theological Seminary for his Master of Theology and his doctorate from San Francisco Theological Seminary. He is married to Joyce and they have one daughter, Jazlyn. They are grateful to the Lord for His Grace, Presence and favour in their lives.
